                                                 Ka Pule A Ka Haku

The Lord’s Prayer

E ko makou Makua iloko o ka lani,
Our Father who art in heaven,

E Hoano ia kou inoa.
Hallowed be Thy name.

E hiki mai kou aupuni,
Thy kingdom come,

E malama ia kou makemake maka honua nei,
Thy will be done on earth,

E like me ia i malama ia ma ka lani la.
As it is in heaven.

E haawi mai ia makou i keia la,
Give us this day,

i ai na makou niea la.
and our daily bread.

E kala mai hoi ia makou, i ka makou lawehala ana,
And forgive our trespasses,

Me makou e kala nei i ka poe i lawehala i ka makou.
As we forgive those that trespass against us.

Mai ho’oku’u oe ia makou i ka ho’owalewale ia mai,
And release us from temptation,

E ho’opakele no nae ia makou i ka ino;
And free us from evil;

No ka mea nou ke aupuni, a me ka mana,
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power,

A me ka ho’onani ia, a mau loa akuAmene
And the glory, forever.

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is dought, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much
seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood as underestand;
To be loved as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

The Difference

I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day.

I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task.

Why doesn't God help me?, I wondered.

He answered, "You didn't ask."

I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on bleak and gray.

I wondered why God didn't show me.

He said, "But you didn't seek."

I tried to come into God's presence.  I used all my keys at the lock.

God gently and lovingly chided, "My child, you didn't knock."

I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day.

I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

1. Close your eyes and visualize that you are putting yourself in a bubble of pure white light. Say: "This pure white light of Christ protects and shields me."

2. Now visualize that around the white light is a second bubble of glowing green light. Say: :"This green healing light (like that of the sun shining through the leaf of a plant) heals my mind, my body, and my spirit...my past, present, and future"

3. Visualize a third light around the green and white lights that is a brilliant, luminous glowing blue-violet light.  Say: "This violet transmuting light transmutes all negative energy, form or formless into a postive light energy, which is removed from around my field and sent somewhere in the universe where it is needed."

 You can use this prayer anytime, but it is especially useful if used upon waking in the morning and again right before you go to sleep at night.  The words do not need to be exact, but the colors do!  If you have difficulty in visualizing the triple ring around you, imagine that you are standing in front of yourself and place the bubble rings around yourself... this is sometimes easier.  Remember, you are not just putting a ring around yourself, but surrounding yourself in a triple cocoon of light.  Use in good health and happiness.

Ke Alaula

E Kumuola, e ku'u Tutu
 Poha mai i ka 'onohi'ula
Wehe 'ia Ke Alaula
Mai ka mole, ke kiko waena

                      Oh Kumuola, my tutu
                       Burst forth with rays of fire
                       Opened a flaming pathway

                             >From the source,the center

Halulu ke kumuhonua
Haku'iku'i, i ka 'aina nei
Wehe 'ia Ke Alaula
Hoaka 'o Kamawaipolani

                            The foundation trembled
                                       Echoed throughout the land
                                       Opened a stream of life
                                       Appeared Kamawaipolani

Hane'ene'e hele i kai
Oni me ka, muliwai ola
Wehe 'ia Ke Alaula
Uhi pono, i ke ea

Moving toward the sea
Onward like a living river
Opened a seaward path
Enveloped in life's breath

Puana, ka ha'ina
Ho'okukaulani i hei kapu
Wehe 'ia Ke Alaula
No na hanauna nei

The story is told
Restore this sacred domain
Opened the path of life
For the generations of this land

The Great Invocation

From  the point of Light
    within the Mind of God
Let Light stream forth into
    the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth

From  the point of Love
    within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into
    the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.

From the centre where the
    Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the
    wills of men-

The purpose which the
    Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we
    call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and
    Light work out.

And may it seal the door
    where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and
    Power restore the
    Plan on Earth.

                An ancient Sanskrit understanding:

I honor the place in you
in which the entire universe dwells.

I honor the place in you which is of
Love, of Truth, of Light, and of Peace.

When you are in that place in you
and I am in that place in me,

We are One.
